Child Restraints
Children under 4 years and weighing less than 40 pounds, being transported in a vehicle manufactured after 1/1/66 must be properly restrained in an approved child car seat. (This law does not apply if all of the motor vehicle's seat belts are in use, but in such an event any unrestrained child to which this law applies shall be placed in the rear seat of the vehicle, if it so equipped or when the child is removed from the car seat and held be the attendant for the purpose of nursing the child or attending the child's other immediate physiological needs). |
